Outline
Benazepril hydrochloride, the active ingredient of BenazeHeart tablet, specifically inhibits angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) activity in the blood and tissues, suppressing the production of angiotensin II.
In dogs with chronic heart failure, it improves various symptoms of heart failure through its vasodilatory, diuretic and myocardial protective effects.
In cats with chronic kidney failure, it inhibits urinary protein leakage by lowering blood pressure throughout the body and within the renal glomeruli.
